Frozen Cookie Dough — Dozen
Twelve portions, frozen. Your kitchen smells like a bakery on a Tuesday.
- Makes
- 12 frozen portions
- Hands on
- 12 min
- All in
- 1 h 30
- Oven
- 180 °C (350 °F)
The video for this one is coming. I film while it bakes, which is going slower than planned.
What you need
- 1 batchthe chocolate chip cookie dough — same recipe, stopping before the oven
How it goes
Make the chocolate chip cookie dough exactly as written, through the chilling step.
Scoop 12 balls onto a parchment-lined tray and freeze them solid on the tray, uncovered, about an hour. Freezing them separately first is the only reason they do not become one brick.
Once hard, tip them into a container or bag. They keep three months.
To bake: straight from the freezer onto a lined sheet, well apart, 180 °C (350 °F) for 13–15 minutes. No thawing — thawed dough spreads flat.
A couple of things
- Two on a Tuesday is the entire point. Bake what you want and leave the rest frozen.
- They bake better from frozen than fresh — the outside sets before the middle spreads.
Or let me make it. I already sell this one, ready Saturday morning.
